Nobody Said It Was Easy... [The tale of how I fell in love with Coldplay]

"Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry.
You don't know how lovely you are..."

The lyrics wasn't the first thing I've recognized when I heard the song. It's the first piano part where I started vesting my interest in the song, I was like, "Hey, the piano sounds nice." As you know, during those time hearing songs with piano in its intro makes me, "Wow" everytime. I don't know, I guess because I used to hear a lot of acoustics [guitar-dependent sounds, in my opinion] or it is one of my frustrations to play the piano.

Later on, when I kinda grew a bit I started hearing the song again and yes, the very first time I heard of it I wasn't able to get the song's title. Internet during that time isn't as accessible as it is now so, it really took me like a lot of time to know what's the song is. Actually, a high school friend told me all about the band, I was uninterested with the band during those times [Yeah, I know I kinda suck on that part] because all I ever wanted to know is what the hell is the title of the song. Finally, after his too many introductions he said, "The song is, The Scientist."

My first reaction was, "Okay, The Scientist it is but why the hell does the song's title is like that?" and that's when I began hearing and analyzing what's the lyrics is all about. I figured that the song entails sad meaning because of how the melody flows to my ears. But without basically hearing what the lyrics are all I could do is to speculate. And so, I played the song on repeat to be able to grasp or somehow familiarize myself with the song's lyrics and that's when I realized that it is certainly is a sad, full of remorse kind of song. The way the composer express all of its regrets to every line you hear is heartbreaking and is very emotional. It kinda makes me think that, "Hey, this dude and his band is totally awesome!"

And that's when I literally began falling for them. With that having said, it became official that I make it a point to update myself with the songs they are producing/singing/writing. Theirs are not only song just for the sake of singing, they try to capture your feelings and your inner sentimentality [I just made up this term, pardon me.] and how you as a human would really feel in reality. I'm not saying that they are just the band that could make you nod your head and say, "Hey, they are feeling it too." It's basically not just about putting their names on billboards and making themselves in the mainstream music. They try, I guess, to show off what music they really want to play.

So, it is really annoying on my part, whenever I see and read somewhere online that, they've got a lot more haters than their well-deserved fans. Yes, I've got several artists or musicians whom I dislike but I don't actually express it publicly cause I think that's the most respectful way to show my disapproval to them. I don't know, I just think that there are some haters who have gone overboard to the extent that, they are even searching for the band's [any artists'] uploaded videos online just to make some nasty and unpleasant comments about how they should kill themselves because they don't have talent and they suck. I'm pertaining to any artist here who were victimized by these kind of overboard statements.

Besides, the rule is kinda simple. You don't want them? Then don't pay attention to them, don't listen, don't look, just don't let them get into your nerves. And upto this point, I kinda realized that I somewhat talked that much again. It supposedly about how good Coldplay's music are but then, I kinda blurted out my antagonism towards the unfair hate.

Anyway, too much about hate fire. Lemme just talk about their music that became part of my system for these past few years now. I figured that it'll be better if you guys also hear out the my most favorited Coldplay songs as of the moment [Yeah, that means when they release a new album or songs, my list might change].

So here's my Top 5 songs:

5. Paradise

4. Viva La Vida

3. Yellow

2. The Scientist

1. Up In Flames

P.S. No hate fire on this please, respect the band. Just enjoy "THE" music.

Para Kay "E"

I remember seeing his band's music video entitled, "Ang Huling El Bimbo," when I was like Grade 4 or Grade 3. I thought it was kinda creepy back then, you know all those a girl who came back from the dead with a back drop of gloomy and dim weather. And their looks aren't too fashionable wayback then. But, regardless of how creepy their music video is, and how horrible are their sense of fashion if you just listen to the sound they are making and playing somehow, it will make you realize that they are actually a good or okay erase that, a great band [okay, I'm kidding on this last part but later on, the Philippine Music Scene will regard them as one of the most influential and best bands this whole island produced.]

So yeah, that's our first official yet coincidental meeting. Never did I realize that I will fall deeply hard for him, his music and his works. It is not later when I was in high school that I befittingly began my obsession. This was also the time where I started collecting all their Eheads album. I would skip lunch and not eat snacks just so I could save it up to buy all 12 or something album "he" have. Unfortunately, at this point and time, they decided to go on their own ways. Yes, they disbanded and join in or if not, form a new band, each one of them.

Anyway, before we go through his band's break-up let me just introduce, like seriously introduce him, who captured my heart.
